About Mr. Lanny

Lanny is an 84 year old Air Force veteran who has lived in his home for over 50 years. He raised his 5 children and even grandchildren at that very same home. His wife and also high school sweetheart of 51 years passed away unexpectedly 9 years ago and he was recently diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and dementia.  After his wife’s passing, he worked at Walmart as a greeter; it gave him the opportunity to not only earn a living, but to establish relationships and try and fill the void he felt with his wife being gone. To this day, his son takes him back to that Walmart and everyone there now greets him with open arms. After the beginning stages of his Alzheimer’s had set in he was no longer able to work and he retired from his greeter position in 2009. His only income is social security and with that, he is not even able to maintain homeowners insurance.

Lanny’s roof was in horrible conditions and in danger of caving in any second. Thanks to the help of Timothy Bosak and KRE, we were able to get Lanny a new roof, and ensure his safety for the upcoming storms.
